As you may well know, I am somewhat of a goofball. Just look at this corny picture to the left. But I am not a goofball becuase I am a slacker (far from it), but becuase of my passion for life. I enjoy nature, the art of programming and the time I get to spend with my wonderful wife. I see beautity in the world around us and in the design of elegant code. I truly love what I do.

How did this all start? The easist place to being is in my first year at college. I really had no idea what I wanted to do. I didn't understand programming and felt completly overwhemed by the material. I slogged my way through classes until the first summer when I interned at Amgen. I was taken under the wing of a brilliant programmer who taught me the "Art of Programming." He taught me to see the beauty of deisgn in code and instructed me on how to create such masterpieces. After 3 months of instruction, I hit college hard as an experienced program deisgner/programmer. I began working on advanced versions of programs we were writing in class, while also finishing up to two weeks ahead of schedule.(Being a avid perfectionist helps avoid procrastination) I had found my calling in code.

Since that time, I have earned my degree in Computer Engineering and worked with industry to create many different types of web applications. I have continued to learn and refine my skills everyday, but yet I feel there is so much more to learn. I am by no means an expert, but I have set my goals to lead me on that path.

When I am not working on new projects, I also enjoy the sport "Kiteboarding." If you have ever had the dream of flying, you must give this sport a try. It combines a wakeboard with a giant power kite to create the most incredible feeling in the world. It can only be described as gliding across water. Unlike the usual feeling of tumbling forward behind a boat, a kite pulls you upwards, leaving your body in a weightless enviornment. Once I tried it, I was hooked and I have been practicing for 2 years now. You can see some pics of me here and some really amazining videos of other here.
